*Funding and Term Notes: These positions are funded by a local school bond, approved by voters in 2016. Continuation of funding for this position is contingent upon voters electing to renew the school construction bonds.

Procurement & Budget Manager

Procurement & Budget Manager is responsible for conducting procurements including bids, proposals, and quotes to ensure the best competition for the District. Monitors procurements for compliance with all applicable regulations and guidelines, and works with multiple groups/agencies across the school district,  state  and local business entities. This position 


  • Bachelor’s degree (BA) in business, procurement, accounting, finance or related field
  • Five (5) years of experience in project administration, budget development, financial experience in a large public or private organization with progressively responsible experience
  • School district experience (preferably in Washington State)
  • Experience with SunGard BusinessPLUS software or similar fiscal software system

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in financial management, contract administration and/or project management in the public or private sector
  • Experience in school district budget and accounting
  • Public and/or private purchasing experience
  • Professional certification through WASBO
  • Certified Public Accountant credential

Procurement & Budget Manager Application


Senior Construction Manager 

Senior Construction Manager is responsible for implementing the preconstruction, construction, commissioning, and project closeout phases of a development project with an emphasis on establishing and maintaining project controls and completing projects in a timely and cost-effective manner.


  • 10+ years’ experience (experience, in general, must be directly related to the field of CM or closely related fields), or equivalent, such as:
    • HS Diploma + 15-years’ experience in administering design and construction contracts and/or in coordinating construction projects preferably in the public sector with K-12 schools OR
    • Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, Building Construction Management, Project Management or a closely related field and previous experience as a construction observer; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • At least two years’ experience in overseeing different construction projects with one of the following methods of project delivery: Design Build (DB), Graduate Certificate in Change Management (GCCM), Energy Service Company (ESCO), and Progressive Design Build

Preferred Qualifications

  • Certification as a CCM or AIA is strongly encouraged
  • Knowledge of engineering design and construction; construction contract management; and regulations, laws, ordinances, codes, best practices, and standards applicable to public building construction projects
  • Ability to develop construction contract documents; analyze and interpret architectural and engineering specifications; coordinate project activities; and develop cost estimates
  • Knowledgeable of school construction projects

Senior Construction Manager Application


K-12 Planning Manager 

K-12 Planning Manager will organize, coordinate and monitor short term, intermediate term and long-range K-12 school facilities planning, projects and related capital improvement activities.  


  • Bachelor’s degree in education, public administration, or related field 5+ years as a successful principal or equivalent experience
  • Experience assisting senior level administration with organizational and strategic planning
  • Experience creating successful partnerships with external organizations to further support district vision and goals
  • Organizational and interpersonal skills, including good verbal and written communications with diverse stakeholders

Preferred Licenses and Certifications

  • Washington State Principal or Administrator Certification


$104,001 ~ $115,976 annually

K-12 Planning Manager Application


Accountant for Capital Projects 

The Accountant for Capital Projects is responsible for routine processing of accounting, analysis, and financial reporting for the Capital Projects team, which includes all bond and non-bond funding. This individual prepares financial records and maintains documents for the school building program, which includes land acquisitions, new construction, reconstruction, and modernization projects.


  • Technical accounting degree with a minimum of 8 years professional accounting experience OR AA degree in finance, accounting, or closely related field with a minimum of five years’ experience
  • Financial systems software experience
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills
  • Microsoft Office Suite software experience
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to meet deadlines

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration or closely related financial field
  • School district experience (preferably in Washington State)
  • Certified Public Accountant credential
  • Professional certification through WASBO

Secretary of Capital Projects

The Secretary of Capital Projects is responsible for providing secretarial and administrative support to the Executive Director of Capital Planning and Construction; communicating information to Capital Planning staff and/or other Districts; and ensuring compliance with financial, legal, and administrative requirements.


  • High School Diploma or GED
  • At least 2 years of experience as a secretary or administrative assistant
  • Experience in data processing, bookkeeping
  • Ability to work independently
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, SharePoint

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous experience coordinating capital projects for a K-12 public school district or other large public entity
