Student Internship
Student Teachers, Educational Staff Associate (ESA) Interns, and Interns are a valuable asset to our teaching and learning community in Highline. A placement in our district will allow you an opportunity to put into action the skills you've learned in class and field work. Your internship is a time for you to build community with students, learn and grow from your mentor and demonstrate subject-matter knowledge necessary to successfully become a certificated educator in Washington State.

Cooperating Mentor
Cooperating Mentors are an invaluable part of developing future educators through hosting student interns. Cooperating Mentors provide ongoing feedback and evaluations, share their expertise in classroom management and instruction; and provide opportunities for interns to put skills they’ve learned from their program into a real, classroom setting to become a successful certificated educator!
