Supervisor and will be responsible for supervising female cabins. Supervising
and support Waskowitz Outdoor School and help maintain records and
establish curriculum in North Bend, WA. Must reside on site.

The position of Residential Outdoor Educator will work on a rotation basis in the role of Residential Supervisor, Naturalist, and Program Support. This includes providing supervision and support in: Outdoor School, Living History, Reconnecting Ourselves Outdoors to Succeed (ROOTS), Challenge Facilitation, Waskowitz Environmental Leadership & Service (WELS) program support Responsibilities include dining hall supervision, trail and hiking logistics, maintaining records, developing quality ecology curriculum, promoting growth and development of students, and monitoring the student’s safety and well-being while in the district’s care. The Outdoor Educator resides on campus while students are on site, this includes staying in dormitories on a rotation basis.

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions. - Supports all aspects of residential programming at Camp Waskowitz. - Ensures the physical and emotional safety within the residence by: setting the tone for safety and comfort throughout; i.e. regulating shower time with efficiency and locking all doors at night. - Using one-on-one counseling, mentoring, and building a relationship with students and assisting them in personal growth and leadership exploration and development. - Observes, evaluates and supports high school students teaching, assisting, or counseling during class, cabin and meal times. - Teaches and assists high school students/teachers at the Cedar River Watershed, and other classes at Waskowitz Outdoor School. - Develops and facilitates innovative and educational focused day and overnight programming. This includes but is not limited to: Outdoor School, Living History, ROOTS, and WELS. - Designs and facilitates challenge based programming. - Delivers educational day and evening programming. At times will be responsible for overnight coverage. - Develops interactive nature, animal and classroom displays. - Teach classes weekly to role model lessons that support district Science initiatives. - Does trail-work, spreads smiles around, assists in the kitchen, office, outside, or wherever/whatever else is needed to ensure the overall success of the program. - Assists staff, teachers, and students in all camp programs and campfires by singing, dancing, teaching, being silly, having fun, and creating a sense of community which promotes a positive, inclusive environment.

BA degree in Recreation, Natural Science, Environmental Studies, Education, or Liberal Arts (Incumbents having a BA degree will receive an additional $2.00/ hour; with AA degree, an additional $1.00/hour)
